We Are Dauntless Psychiatry
Dauntless Psychiatry was founded in 2020 amidst an ever changing and anxiety provoking pandemic. During that time, we were able to practice the fundamentals of meeting our clients where they were and help them make the best of the tools and resources available to them.
Similar to an injury or broken bone, sometimes the best course of treatment for a mental ailment is therapy.
Other times, like in diabetes and high blood pressure, it would be more appropriate to treat with medications prescribed by a board certified provider.
We practice evidence based medicine to treat an array of mental health disorders including anxiety and panic attacks, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and more including severe mental illnesses that involve bipolar disorder and psychosis.
We are dauntless. We are fearless. And we will not give up.
Dr. Lange was born and raised in Galveston County, TX. She grew up in a large family and was the third child of the six Lange siblings. “As children, my parents really instilled in us a deep sense of family loyalty and cohesiveness and at the same time they championed our individuality and stressed the importance of self-reliance.” Dr. Lange believes that making the modern family an integral part of patient care leads to the very best treatment results.
Dr. Lange completed her undergraduate education at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL, where she graduated with High Honors, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and completed her pre-medical studies. Dr. Lange then returned to Texas to attend medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After receiving her Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) degree in San Antonio, she completed her residency training in General Psychiatry with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Lange moved to Northwest Arkansas with her family to complete her final years of residency in the specialized UAMS Community Psychiatry Track. She has been serving the Northwest Arkansas community since that time. Dr. Lange is Board Certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Lange has extensive experience in both the outpatient and inpatient psychiatric treatment settings.
She founded Dauntless Psychiatry in April of 2020.
“I believe the two most important things I can do for my patients are (1) to listen, hear and understand what is affecting them and (2) to help them understand the symptoms they are having and the treatment options available.” Dr. Lange has a passion for teaching and makes the time to provide her patients with the education they desire and deserve. “It is important we treat mental health with a multi-factorial approach that involves strengthening support systems, educating, and providing the best treatment options for each patient. Medications are a powerful tool, but they CANNOT be the only tool in our tool box.”
